Robert Half - Part Time Accounts Receivable Clerk

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in Watsonville, California. This role involves managing customer credit accounts, processing credit applications, and maintaining accurate records. The work environment is fast-paced and requires a high level of attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts receivable using various accounting software

• Monitor incoming payments and reconcile invoices

• Prepare, send, and store invoices efficiently

• Communicate with clients about invoices and payments

• Collaborate with the sales team to manage credits and returns

• Assist with month-end financial closings

• Participate in the annual audit process

• Work with collection agencies and legal counsel when necessary

• Report to the Accounts Receivable Manager about the status of collections and accounts receivables

• Manage and fulfill internal and external client requests related to accounts receivable.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, managing accounts receivable

• Demonstrated proficiency in account reconciliation

• Prior experience with accounts receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with billing processes

• Experience in cash applications and cash collections

• Knowledge of commercial collections

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Oracle software

• Familiarity with QuickBooks accounting software

• Experience with SAP enterprise software

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability

• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently

• Relevant certification or degree in finance, accounting or related field is preferred.
