Description
Assistance Plus is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of DSP Team Leader to provide oversight of the DSP Supervisors, the Shared Living Coordinator, and the Community Support Program Coordinator. This position will ensure the DSP supervisory team, and the field staff carry out services that focus on the specific needs of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or autism. The DSP Team Leader will ensure the DSP Program staff are meeting the expectations of their position and assist with program growth and strategic planning.
This is a full time (40 hours per week) position located at our Waterville office.
Duties include and are not limited to:
Working with the DSP supervisors regarding scheduling, ensuring clients are properly staffed with direct care workers
Monitoring the timely completion of open and annual paperwork through scheduled, and documented, weekly 1:1 supervisions with DSP Supervisory team and monitoring vendor call responses
Monitoring and reporting out DSP productivity on a weekly basis
Ensuring timely funding authorizations and preventing gaps in authorizations
Informing Director of Behavioral Health Programs of any client complaints and reportable client incidents – internal and state level
Monitoring that the Shared Living and DSP SOP manuals remain up-to-date
Ensuring Shared Living policies remain updated
Working with Agency partners for accurate Mainecare portal submissions
Following and remaining current with Agency policies and protocols, Office of Aging and Disability (OADS), Division of Licensing and Regulatory Services and Maine Care Benefits Manual
Complying with the on-call rotation
Working closely with the finance team to ensure billing denials are corrected timely
Covering phone calls for DSP Supervisors who are out for an extended period of time
Meeting with each DSP Supervisor for one-on-one supervision a minimum of a weekly basis and turning in supervision form to HR
Helping DSP Supervisors with their caseloads when needed
Assisting DSP Supervisors in increasing the amount of billable hours on their caseloads
Following assigned opens to ensure attempted contact within 24 hours of assigning and daily thereafter until scheduled
Monitoring and responding as needed to the DSP and Shared Living audits from QA, and attending meetings when needed
Covering positions temporarily as needed to support strategic growth (i.e. shared living cases)
Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred
Valid driver's license
Must be 18 years of age or older
Proof of vehicle insurance at $50K/$100K
DSP Certification
A minimum of three years experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or mental illness
