Summary The position is located in the Department of Justice, Justice Management Division (JMD), Office of the Human Resources (HR) Director, Strategic Workforce Planning. The incumbent works with DOJ's Human Resources (HR) Systems to conduct data analysis, identify trends and formulate recommendations for achieving organization mission and program objectives. The duties and responsibilities for a GS-0343-14 Program Analyst (Data Analytics) generally include, but are not limited to, the following: Serves as a project leader, and advisor to leadership within Human Capital Strategic Workforce Planning. Interprets multifaceted data on human capital, workforce, and organization related issues, such as human capital strategic planning, workforce planning and analysis, organization restructuring and human capital benchmarking. Serves as agency level expert, providing advice and guidance in areas that require extensive interpretation for many different and unrelated program processes and methods. Plans and establishes an organizational analysis program that encompasses extremely large, difficult, and diverse projects for the agency's headquarters. Conducts skill needs analysis and employment data (e.g., population data, attrition, age, diversity, education, pay plan, series, exit surveys, tenure info, etc.) of DOJ workforce to identify and close skill gaps. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for the position of Program Analyst (Data Analytics) at (GS-0343-14), you must possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade you're applying to. If you are a current or former government employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level (GS-13), to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade. Additionally, please ensure to submit an applicable SF50 (please refer to the "required documents" section for additional information). Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to gather data on program efficiencies; 2) Developing studies on a variety of human capital and workforce planning programs; 3) Developing data-driven organizational recommendations or solutions based on data collection; and 4) Developing, gathering, production, or analysis of Workforce Analytic reports.
