Fannie Mae Enterprise Analytics and Modeling Lead Product Manager (Flexible Hybrid) in Washington, District Of Columbia

Job Description As a valued contributor to our team, you will advise the team on processes and methods for building, developing, or designing functionality for a product, as well as create processes and procedures for the ongoing implementation, enhancement, or maintenance of existing products.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

The Enterprise Analytics and Modeling - Product Management - Advisor role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities for product improvements based on a deep understanding of user needs and pain points, as well as collect feedback from the team and provide recommendations.

  • Advise on the product lifecycle and ongoing maintenance.

  • Advise on and ensure product strategy is in alignment with business objectives.

  • Foster strong partnerships with key business stakeholders, ensuring close alignment on priorities, deliverables, and achieving better flow of strategic modeling insights to the business.

Qualifications THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Minimum Required Experiences

  • At least 6 years experience working in the Capital Markets business area on a trading desk or in market risk

  • Bachelor degree in Statistics, Economics, Finance, or equivalent

  • Relationship Management including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc.

  • Experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions

  • Product Management including managing demand, releases, and backlog

  • Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal

  • Business Insight including advising, designing business models, interpreting customer and market insights, forecasting, benchmarking, etc.

  • Product Development including designing products, developing product roadmaps, translating design requirements, prototyping, etc.

  • Influencing including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict

  • Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand

Desired Experiences

  • Extensive experience in fixed income products and modeling of fixed income products

  • Extensive experience working directly with traders to understand business processes and provide solutions

  • Experience working with GSEs, FHLBs, or fixed income desks on mortgage modeling preferred

  • Experience working as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or Product Analyst preferred

  • Experience using widely available 3rd party fixed income modeling products (e.g., Yield Book, BlackRock, Bloomberg, etc.)
