Insight Global Assistant Chief Broadcast Engineer in Washington, District Of Columbia

Job Description

One of Insight Globals major clients are seeking an Assistant Chief Broadcast Engineer to join their services team. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting with general broadcast system maintenance for a local television station. General responsibilities include:

 Transmitter maintenance and troubleshooting

 Component level repair of broadcast systems

 Tracing cable/and signal flow with limited documentation, able to update documentation simultaneously.

 Studio Monitor color correction- for LEDs (existing studio)

 Studio LED and diffusion installation (replacement build)

 Router cabling and programming- adding streaming studio

 Router listen in RTS for producers and pre-fade listen from audio board for AD station

 DNF Panel/HUB-ed master control understanding

 Phone system organization and labeling

Skills and Requirements

TV station background ability to walk in and understand the lingo

 Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, live television environment

 Exposure to various broadcast systems: Ross Overdrive Products, Bit Central, ENPS, Cue-Script, Dante audio, Calrec audio boards Computer repair and maintenance

 Experience processing user service requests

 Ability to perform restarts and updates on both users and broadcast equipment null
