Job Title: Traveling Construction Painter

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Painter to paint the interior and exterior of structures, buildings, and other surfaces. This role requires willingness to travel within a 200-mile radius around Southern Minnesota. The role is crucial as high-quality painting has both practical and aesthetic benefits. Candidates must be experienced in painting with various tools and in different heights and spaces while adhering to all safety measures. The ideal candidate will be reliable, deft, and highly attentive to detail in completing their duties.

Hard Skills

• Read job scopes and work order instructions

• Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures

• Prepare walls and surfaces for painting by scraping, pressure washing, removing old paint

• Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material

• Paint surfaces according to instructions using various tools

• Adhere to all health and safety precautions

• Proven experience as a painter

• Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix, and apply them

• Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques

• Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns, airless sprayers, etc.)

• Good basic math skills

• Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders, lifts etc.

• Driver's License is highly desired

This is a permanent position.

Work Environment

This position requires frequent traveling within a 200-mile radius around Southern Minnesota and involves working in various heights and spaces. Safety measures must be strictly followed.
