Google Embedded Software Engineer, Core Platform in Warsaw, Poland

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of coding experience in one or more of the following languages: C, C++, Java, or Python.

  • 3 years of experience with consumer product hardware testing, system debugging/troubleshooting, or system validation.

  • Experience in computer science, data structures, algorithms and software design.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of dynamic random-access memory

  • Knowledge of Rust

  • Familiarity of Android BSP

Pixel System Software works closely with Android Platform, Pixel Hardware, gChips, and external partner teams on delivering the latest Google Pixel devices and Google Tensor System on Chip with the best Android experience.

Our Core Platform team is responsible for the end-to-end system software including bootloader, Kernel, and Android.

  • Participate in software planning and development of bootloader and firmware

  • Deliver bootloader and firmware features in C and Rust in areas of memory subsystem and debug

  • Participate in bring up of Pixel devices from SoC development boards to prototyping to mass production

  • Design and implement software solutions for SoC features in areas such as interconnect, boot, reset, memory, high speed IO, low speed IO, interrupt controller, security

  • Debug difficult issues involving software, hardware, and SoC
