1st shift hours: 6:30 am to 3:00 pm
This position has a dual role...will drive the forklift AND work on the production line. Must have recent forklift experience and on a sit down forklift (propane). At least your first 30 - 60 days will be training on the production line prior to training on the forklift. Once trained you will still hold a dual role.
FORKLIFT DUTIES:
- Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle.
- Maintain the facilitys equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion.
- Inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment.
- Receive material into the warehouse by moving product off of the trucks.
- Move product to and from the production floor.
- Responsible for moving finished goods off the lines and into their proper location in the warehouse.
- Responsible for following Bill of Materials and picking the correct items/components to stage the lines.
- Must note raw material location/ picking/replacement on their daily inventory lists.
- Must have the ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Must be detail oriented and pay close attention to accuracy.
- Must be proficient in forklift operation.
- Must be computer literate.
PRODUCTION LINE DUTIES:
Place sprayers in bottles on the production line. Monitor quality of product. Put empty bottles on line to begin production process. Work at various work stations throughout the production area. Place dividers into boxes. Push finished boxes thru the taping machine. Move finished boxes onto pallets. Place plastic sleeves on product when packaging combos. Ability to adhere to all safety requirements. Ability to follow instructions by supervisor. Ability to be understood in oral communications with persons at all levels, while exhibiting an attitude of teamwork and cooperation. Good attendance and punctuality are required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Must have at least 1 year of previous manufacturing experience. Must have reliable transportation. Must be available for overtime.
This is a fast paced manufacturing environment that is not climate controlled (hot in summer, cold in winter). Employees are on their feet the duration of the shift minus their breaks. You will be required to move to a variety of lines and duties out in the manufacturing plant.
Applicants must be able to successfully pass a basic skills math/reading test, a pre-employment drug screen and a background screen. Must be able to do overtime.
