Qualifications for this Career Opportunity: · Knowledge of relevant equipment and procedures utilized to ensure safety and security in a mental health facility. · Knowledge of current techniques in working with and treating the mentally ill.* · Knowledge of interviewing and information gathering techniques.* · Effective verbal and written communication skills.* · Excellent time management and organizational skills.* · Ability to make observations to report and record them accurately.* · Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle. * · Ability to monitor and analyze information, events, or the environment to assess and resolve a variety of situations and circumstances.* · Ability to work cooperatively and maintain effective relationships with staff, patients, other agencies, and the public. * · Ability operate a personal computer and general office equipment as necessary to complete the essential functions including using word processing, e-mail, and computer programs relevant to their duties.* * * · *Meet the following minimum qualifications: o High school diploma or equivalent. o Minimum of two years working as a psychiatric technician or similar work experience with security and mentally ill patient treatment functions. o Must maintain CPR Certification. o Other combinations of education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
