This Position is for a Walnut Grove Hatchery - Lead HY04- 1st shift- FT with a work location in Walnut Grove, MS.

Job Details:

Work Schedule:  First (1st) Shift from 3:30 AM to 1:30 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Holiday work and occasional weekend work is required. Candidate must live in a 50-mile radius from facility.

Job Description:

This position will be responsible for performing Lead duties in the Hatchery facility. The Lead will be responsible for most hatchery monitoring tasks, all hatchery audits, and sanitation checks. This position will provide coverage as needed in general labor positions that may include, but not limited to vaccine mixing, embrexing, chick processing, chick placement, egg traying, egg setting, QA, and separator operator. The Lead will be required to complete all other tasks assigned by management.

Requirements:

The positions require the willingness to stand, walk, bend, stretch, twist, climb, push, and pull egg buggies, and reach and lift (up to 40 lbs.) in many areas. Working on elevated surfaces is required in some areas. Team member must be willing to work in a cold, warm, dusty, and/or damp environment hot and humid environment and these areas have slippery walking surfaces.

The Lead must be able to communicate clearly with management and Team Members both orally, verbally and in writing regarding the above duties. Must possess basic math and intermediate computer skills. Must possess leadership skills. Must possess 3-months operator experience with one employer. Experience in a Hatchery is greatly preferred. Leadership experience is also preferred. Candidate should make sure to list any relevant experience that the candidate has in their work history or resume. Candidates that have that documented experience will be given preference.

All Tyson Foods policies must be followed to include Animal Welfare and Bio-Security guidelines. A successful applicant must obtain and maintain Tyson Operators Permit. This includes maintaining clear Motor Vehicle record with no more than 2 moving violations. The Lead must obtain and maintain Lock Out Tag Out Certification.
