Our client, a leading Biotechnology Research company based in Walnut Creek, CA, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Contracts Manager to join their dynamic team. This is a fully remote opportunity on a contract-to-hire basis with a requirement for candidates local to the Bay Area for occasional in-person collaborations.

Responsibilities:

• Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including but is not limited to nondisclosure agreements, master service agreements, statements of work, and amendments.

• Collaborate actively with the legal team to augment the capabilities of the legal department in a rapidly growing consultancy setting.

• Contribute to initiatives such as developing tailored templates, creating a comprehensive playbook, and establishing an effective data retention policy.

• Partner closely with internal business parties and external third parties to review, analyze, and advise on contractual terms and conditions, facilitating negotiations to secure mutually beneficial results.

• Manage various projects concurrently, guaranteeing their timely completion and adherence to stipulated deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

• Guarantee that contractual terms and conditions comply with company policies, governance standards, and legal requirements.

• Handle contract lifecycle from initiation, via negotiation, to closure.

• Identify and abate contract-related risks and issues.

• Assist in the interpretation of contractual rights and obligations to offer clarification to management.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in contract management or a related field.

• Demonstrated experience in reviewing, drafting, redlining, and negotiating commercial contracts.

• Proficient in using CRM software for managing contracts and related tasks

• Specific knowledge or experience in the Biotech or Biotechnology industry would be advantageous

• Excellent communication skills, with an ability to negotiate contracts effectively

• Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in contract management software and MS Office.

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• High attention to detail, ensuring all contracts are accurate and meet company and legal requirements

• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.

• This position requires candidates to be local to Walnut Creek, CA/Bay Area
