What you'll do

Are you passionate about shaping the future of the SAP Business Technology Platform? We are seeking a skilled (Senior) Developer (f/m/d) to join our distributed team. In this role, you will be instrumental in advancing a key security service within our platform, leveraging cloud-native technologies. Your responsibilities include:

  • Engineering Problem Definition: Define complex problems from an engineering perspective, assigning clear roles and responsibilities.

  • System Design: Break down system designs into manageable and implementable components.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the team and stakeholders to balance quality, features, technical debt, and real-world constraints.

  • Big Picture: Understand how the service fits into a large-scale enterprise and develop strategies to achieve desired outcomes.

  • Team Empowerment: Foster team growth and influence colleagues to deliver their best efforts.

What you bring

  • Educational Background: Strong degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field (Bachelor/Master).

  • Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience in distributed systems, cloud computing, and open-source software (OSS).

  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming language. Knowledge of JS(TypeScript, Nodejs, React), Golang (Go) is beneficial.

  • Container Technology: Familiarity with Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes (K8s) or other container technologies is beneficial.

  • Security Knowledge: Experience with security protocols such as OAuth2.0, IAM, Cryptography, Decentralized apps, Blockchain is a plus.

  • Agile: Understanding of agile software development processes, particularly Scrum.

  • Collaborative Approach: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (both written and verbal).

  • Positive Attitude: A positive mindset, team-player mentality, transparency, and adaptability.
