What you`ll do

Summary:

We are looking for a (Senior) Cloud Developer (f/m/d) with expertise or interest in distributed systems, Big Data scenarios and container technology, enjoying collaborating in an agile team setup. Our big data components Kafka and Cassandra play an increasing role in strategic architectures for SAP's business-critical and highly available solutions.

In this role you will

• Contribute to lay the foundation to our strategic goals

• Develop and integrate Big Data components in the SAP Business Technology Platform

• Work with different hyperscale environments such as AWS, GCP, Azure and Alibaba Cloud

• Apply proven software methodology to cloud operation problems

• Follow the SRE methodology to provide resilient and highly available big data services

• You will be successful in this role if you have an intrinsic interest in cloud native, distributed systems with all its facets from design, improvement, observability until running in production at scale

What you bring

• Professional work experience of at least 5 years

• Hands-on experience in cloud computing, distributed systems, Big Data or container technologies

• Proficiency in at least one of the following: JavaScript, GO, Bash

• Solid confidence working within Unix / Linux shell environments

• Experience in working with IaaS solutions like Azure, AWS, GCP

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
