What you'll do

We are looking for a motivated Associate Developer (f/m/d) who wants to develop applications and capabilities for Digital Manufacturing (DM). This BTP based cloud solution consists of features around manufacturing insights, execution and automation. It integrates with SAPs ERP solutions and extends into the shop floor of our customers factories by offering connectivity with machines and equipments, e.g. based on open protocols like OPC UA and MQTT. In addition to that, were also working on edge approaches to optimize resiliency and latency of our scenarios, as well as Machine Learning (e.g. for Visual Inspection or LLM-based assistants on log files). Changing technologies and system environments require your flexibility and will provide you the opportunity to try out something new.

You will be part of a development scrum team working according to agile principles, contributing to this strategic growth topic. In this role you will be translating business requirements into solutions from an engineering perspective.

You will collaborate closely with other engineering scrum teams and the DM product management in different locations e.g. Walldorf, Bangalore, Shanghai, Waterloo, Kyiv, Genoa. As we are a customer-driven organization, you will help shaping the product with internal and external stakeholders.

What you bring

  • Good to excellent bachelor or masters degree in one of the following or related areas:Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics or Business Administration with a focus on Information Technology

  • 0-2 years of working experience in software development e.g. internship, working student etc.

  • Curious to learn

  • Ideally first programming skills in:

  • Java / Spring Boot or C# / .NET

  • Cloud development and understanding of CI/CD pipelines

  • Preferably experience with UI5/Fiori

  • Container technologies (e.g. K8s, Docker, Helm, Istio) are a plus

  • Fluent in English and German

  • Being a team player
