Immediate Supervisor: Facilities Manager

Pay Status: Non-Exempt

Calendar Classification: 11- Month Staff

Terms of Employment: Salary and work year to be established by the school board. Duty hours to include 8 hours per day/40 hours per week.

Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the school board's policy on evaluation of staff personnel.

Education/Qualifications: HS/GED and one (1) year of related experience. Must possess a valid driver's license with no violations

Physical Activity: Employee will be required to stoop, kneel, stand, walk, sit, lift, speak, and hear.

Physical Requirements: Employee shall be able to exert up to 20 lbs of force occasionally and up to 50 lbs of force frequently to lift, push, pull, carry or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

Mental Requirements: Employee shall be able to appropriately adapt to mildly stressful and/or emotional situations.

Working Conditions: Worker is subject to activities that occur indoors and outdoors. Outside temperatures range from below 32 degrees to above 75 degrees.


*Duties and responsibilities *

Must be able to use a variety of equipment to perform the assigned duties. The equipment includes but not limited to skid steer loader, multi-purpose all terrain vehicle, sewer snake, backhoe, industrial lawn mower, weed eaters, arc and wire feed welder, pipe threaded, acetylene torch, and computer.3

Assist in the service and preventative maintenance of building mechanical units in accordance with direction given and follow up with record keeping.

Tasks will require cross functional ability and assignments will be dictated by prioritization.

Landscaping projects such as install pavers, replace sidewalks, parking lot repairs, mowing grounds, tree trimming, snow removal from sidewalks, parking lots and streets, also salt and sand as needed.

Perform semi-skilled repairs of both interior and exterior of campus buildings.

Be able to repair furniture and equipment. Repairs to include painting, finishing and clean-up.

Drywall installation and finishing which includes patching, plastering, mixing or tinting of paint and painting the project.

Assist with lock repair and replacement.
