Post Holdings, Inc., recently announced an agreement to acquire Perfection Pet Foods, a leading manufacturer of private label and co-manufactured pet food and baked treats. The transaction is anticipated to close by the end of the calendar year in 2023. This role is part of the Perfection Pet Foods team of 250+ employees who will soon join the Post family to help grow the pet food business. Location Description Visalia, CA is home to 360,000 square feet of manufacturing, packaging, warehouse, and office space. Approximately 250 employees work here, utilizing the latest technologies and systems, capable of producing extensive, diverse, and innovative pet food products. Visalia is in California’s San Joaquin Valley and the gateway to Sequoia National Park, part of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. It also has a minor league baseball team, the Visalia California Oaks, and several colleges and universities. Responsibilities This is an entry-level position responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity within the facility. Strict compliance with the facility Food Safety and Quality Management System Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions is required. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: o Run inventory reports on daily, weekly, or monthly basis. o Develop accurate, consistent, and enhancements to the inventory reporting structure. o Perform inventory adjustments. o Manage the product returns process (e.g. item documentation, tracking, adjusting, destroying) o Perform in a manner consistent with company Vision, Mission Statement, and Operating Principles. o Ability to communicate and give clear direction to others through phone, email, and in person. o Ensure all outgoing shipments are picked accurately using a pre-printed customer order pick ticket. o Stage orders two to three (2-3) days out for loading onto pallets for shipment. o Build loads for transport; each type of loading requires strict attention to order accuracy. o Stack product required onto pallet according to the plant stacking requirements. o Ensure order is loaded in a manner that adheres to customer profile. o Complete shipping forms as required and insure distribution of copies follows established packing procedures o Operate forklift to load/unload supplies from incoming trailers, pallets, or skids and transfer to correct storage areas; use forklift to deliver material to packaging line. o Perform cycle counts on finished product by date. o Count packaging materials as requested by manager/supervisor. o Operates shrink wrap equipment. o Organize, maintain, and store packaging materials as directed by manager/supervisor. o Advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions to assist in providing a safe environment for other workers who walk through the warehouse o Follow and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) standards at all times. o Supplies packaging material to staging areas, loads trucks according to loading instructions. o Completes all required documentation with accuracy. o Advises appropriate leads of any unsafe conditions in both plant and warehouse areas o Maintenance of needed repairs or preventive care. o Must maintain warehouse in an organized and clean manner to ensure safety and good manufacturing processes. o Interact with warehouse team members, quality control, and production to maximize output and efficiency. o Report any food safety issues observed to manager/supervisor. o Report any plant security breaches, attempts at product tampering or contamination, or other suspicious behavior observed to manager/supervisor. o Complete and comply with the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS), Daily Routine List (DRL), HACCP procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Compliance. o Maintain a food-safe sanitary environment at all times. o Complete records/quality checks with accuracy and attention to detail. o Escalate any non-conforming product/equipment/material to the appropriate manager/supervisor immediately. o Follow Company’s quality assurance procedures and protocols at all times while on duty (eg. Labeling of containers, Inventory Control, PM programs). o Promote a positive proactive environment where input from team members is valued and encouraged. o Provide back-up support for other roles as necessary. o Available for overtime work on a scheduled or call-in basis as necessary. o Other duties as assigned by the manager/supervisor. Qualifications Qualifications and Competencies: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability necessary to perform this job successfully: Education/Experience: o A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. o One to two (1-2) years’ working in a warehouse environment. o Forklift certification preferred. Skills: o Knowledge of computer systems. o Ability to perform counts using basic arithmetic skills. o Demonstrated forklift/stand up reach truck operation skills. o Must be self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently and as a team o Proficient with scan gun. o Communicates well verbally and in writing using the English language.

Physical Requirements: o Continuously lift and/or move objects weighing up to and including 50 pounds. o Tolerance for both hot and cold environments. Environment: o Regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts/machinery. o Regularly exposed to major amounts of dust. o Regularly exposed to moderate to severe noise levels. o Regularly exposed to outdoor/uncontrolled weather conditions. o Occasionally exposed to chemicals used in the manufacturing process. Note: Valid Driver’s License required for insurance purposes. Plant Management retains the discretion to add to or change the duties of this position at any time.
