Honeywell Sr Field Sales Engineer - Distribution Solutions Remote in United States

As a Sr Field Sales Engineer here at Honeywell, you will hold a key role in driving our organization's growth and success. You will work closely with customers to understand their needs and provide technical expertise to promote and sell our complex application solutions. Your responsibilities will include developing and executing sales strategies, building strong customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities. In this role, you will be in charge of developing and managing consultative services, facilitating combined efforts with both internal and external teams, evaluating current solutions while also comprehending current trends impacting future customer requirements for maximum throughput and productivity. You will use your broadly recognized subject matter expertise to influence customers toward Honeywell solutions.

This will require working closely with Sales Leadership, Product Management, Marketing, Engineering, Software, and Service teams to drive effectiveness through a total solution mindset and process orientated team. You will participate in pursuit strategy planning and customer negotiations. You will develop the needed knowledge and skills within your team to develop forward thinking and innovative solutions. Be a "go-to" person that bridges product strategy and implementation. Help Honeywell win customers by imparting your knowledge about products and solutions that compete on the market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage in customer-facing activities to create innovative solutions

  • Coach on targeted product value propositions

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business objectives

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers

  • Provide technical expertise and support to customers

  • Identify new business opportunities and drive growth in the assigned market

  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-centric solutions

  • Travel up to 60%

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Connecticut, and Hawaii is $110,000 - $140,000. For Washington and most major metropolitan areas in New York & California, the annual base salary range is $115,000 - $145,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

The application period for the job is estimated to be 40 days from the job posting date; however, this may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 6+ years Sales Engineering, Solutions Development and/or industry and business consulting experience

  • Operational experience in the industry and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse & distribution solutions & practices

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering, or related field

  • Strong technical background in application solutions, specifically in the parcel movement, conveyor, and barcode reading technology

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and foster strong customer relationships

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities

  • External focus with customer-oriented mindset

  • In-depth knowledge of Honeywell and competitor platforms, products and technologies

  • Experience in technical writing and preparation of proposals

  • Familiarity with industry regulatory requirements and future mandates

  • Ability to achieve results through influence in a matrixed environment
