About the Role

Second Nature is looking for a Software Engineer, Integrations. The engineer will report to the Senior Engineering Manager and play an important role in developing and maintaining Second Nature’s software integration products. The Software Engineer will assist in designing, developing, and implementing integration solutions using Python, TypeScript, and SQL. Your growing expertise in these programming languages and interest in integration frameworks and methodologies will contribute to the seamless integration of our software products with various third-party systems.

 

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing, developing, and implementing integration solutions using Python, TypeScript, and SQL.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders, to understand integration requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

  • Help develop and maintain integration frameworks and methodologies to ensure seamless integration of software products with various third-party systems.

  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues with guidance from senior team members.

  • Develop and maintain documentation for integration solutions, including technical specifications, API documentation, and user guides.

  • Contribute to effective communication within the team and with business stakeholders.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in software integration.

  • Consistently write production-ready code that is maintainable and scalable within the team.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • 1-3 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on integrations or backend processing.

  • Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and SQL.

  • Familiarity with integration frameworks and methodologies, such as RESTful APIs and ETL processes.

  • Understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

  • Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

  • A willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
