This team is focused on validating complex customer-specific networks and accelerating adoption of new technologies and solutions. The team has expertise across the breadth of the product portfolio along with extensive expertise in a variety of third-party and competitive products. With hundreds of engineers and world-class facilities around the world, the team helps design and deploy the technologies our customers need to give their business a competitive edge in today's business climate. As part of the team, you will help drive growth by designing next generation solution validation labs and by validating these solutions for customers. You will also help inform customers about trending network technologies and drive accelerated adoption of new technologies and solutions.

  • Engage with customers and other stakeholders on successful planning and execution of validation engagements.

  • Support next generation R&S, Data Center for Enterprise, and Service Provider customers to accelerate implementation of new platforms/solutions.

  • Validate new design solutions to meet customer requirements.

  • Drive requirements discussions, analyze test requirements, build test lab configurations, author and execute test plans, and document results.

  • Identify key issues and gaps and work with engineering and delivery teams to resolve them.Develop/integrate new technologies into lab environments.

  • Collaborate with Solution Architects from Delivery and Sales teams regarding future initiatives and securing customer business.

  • Innovate to gain efficiency and accelerate validation efforts.

  • Identify and facilitate new business growth opportunities.

  • Collaborate with other engineers to ensure successful project delivery.

  • This role and organization has a heightened sense of urgency and will require on-demand responsiveness and you may be assigned work activities at a moments notice.

What’s Needed?

Desired Skills:

  • Candidates must have deep technical expertise with Core routing and switching, Data Center technologies, and preferably Cloud technologies (optional).

  • Candidates must also have strong customer interaction and consulting skills. They must be able to articulate complex concepts in easy-to-understand language.

  • Candidates must be proficient in customer facing discussions as well as the technologies listed above. Typically requires BS plus 4-5+ years related experience, or a MS with 2-3 years of related experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Routing and Switching experience, R&S and/or DC CCNA Required, CCNP Preferred

  • Strong knowledge of NX-OS, IOS-XE, IOS-XR and IOS configuration.

  • Strong knowledge of Cisco DC and Enterprise platforms (N2K-N9K, ASR1K-9K, ISR and Wireless Platforms)

  • Experience in one or more of the following: SD-WAN, Wireless Technologies, ACI & VXLAN (both optional), LISP, BGP, OSPF Routing, MPLS, LAN Switching, VPC, Data CenterTechnologies, Virtualization

  • Programming experience/familiarity (Python / Robot Framework optional)

  • Test and validation experience (hardware or software)

  • Strong communication and customer facing skills (written, verbal, and formal presentation)

  • Knowledge of Industry Test Tools

  • Ability to debug and troubleshoot complex network problems

  • Hands on experience with IXIA and/or SPIRENT tools is desirable
