VCA Animal Hospitals Relief Technician in United States

VCA Animal Referral and Emergency Center of Arizona is seeking experienced Veterinary Technicians to work at our well-established, AAHA-accredited, 15-doctor practice in Mesa, Arizona.

We are looking for qualified, experienced Technicians to be part of our exciting, growing team. Previous emergency experience HIGHLY preferred. Previous veterinary technician experience a MUST. Most importantly, must be client oriented and have high customer service skills.

We are a 24-hour emergency/specialty practice looking for Technicians with positive personalities; whose attributes reflect attention-to-detail, self-motivation, compassion, and reliability. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Venipuncture

• Catheter placement

• Radiology

• Anesthesia monitoring

• Physical examinations and patient assessment

• Surgical preparation and assisting

• Laboratory work

• Pharmacy

• Patient recovery

• Compassionate care for hospitalized patients

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have documented previous experience

• Hold a current CVT license(preferred, not required)

• Flexibility in hours including but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays

• Customer service skills

• Working knowledge of computers

• Excellent communications skills

• Capable of being cross-trained as receptionist and kennel assistant

• Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments
