Industrial & Construction Group

Regional Sales Manager supporting Electrical Distribution in the Industrial, OEM, and Commercial markets. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the successful candidate will implement local strategy along with agent(s) within territory limits, supporting customers, identifying potential opportunities and selling product within company set margins. This position requires significant end-user demand creation focus to create a pull through effect for our distribution channel partners.

  • Identify current and future project opportunities and gain approval for Prysmian wire and cable products within the territory, primarily in the Industrial & Construction portfolio by working face to face with electrical contractors, EPCs, Engineering companies, end users and distribution.

  • Establish primary relationships with our customer (Electrical Distributors & OEM’s) and maintain an ethical and professional relationship with all customer and external contacts.

  • Identify opportunities to grow and maintain day to day business across the I&C portfolio.

  • Identify opportunities for cross selling opportunities at I&Ccustomers between Prysmian groups.

  • Develop new accounts within all customer classifications

  • Develop and maintain customer programs, suggested pricing levels, co-op advertising programs.

  • Work closely with group Inside Sales and Industrial Project Team to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.

  • Coordinate and conduct product training events with Distributors, Contractors, Engineers, End Users & OEM’s.

  • Close coordination with product market managers, including pricing decisions, product introduction, and inventory decisions

  • Analyze market to determine best commercial and service approach

  • Coordinate customer needs with the appropriate internal departments, such as credit, manufacturing, engineering, etc.

  • Participate in regional trade shows as needed (coordinate and set-up)

  • Coordinate customer discrepancies and returns with credit department

  • Work with all product/market channels to assist in the forecasting and selling of all communications products

  • Generate market intelligence

  • Assist in development of sales plans, operational plans, and strategic plans
