Job Summary:

Our chosen candidate will be responsible for supporting solid propellant rocket motor propulsion systems development efforts of our military business programs. This individual will work closely with all functional organizations to transition these systems through CDR and into full-rate production. This position requires technical expertise in solid propellant rocket motor propulsion systems, proven product development experience with military systems and ability to successfully work with other functional groups in a team environment to achieve business objectives. Success in this role will require sound technical judgment and innovative thinking.

Essential Job Functions:

· Establish product development and production plans in accordance with customer specifications and control drawings to ensure rocket motor programs are executed properly with a high degree of technical rigor

· Apply sound engineering design principles to develop new products to meet customer requirements

· Review customer specifications, identify risks and inconsistencies

· Develop manufacturing methods and tooling designs

· Generate manufacturing procedures, test plans and reports

· Support all aspects of a project as related to engineering requirements; design, development and production

· Coordinate with other team members to ensure customer requirements are understood and achieved

· Prepare and present detailed written documentation and reports for diverse audiences, ensuring clear understanding

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical and/or Aerospace Engineering and three (3) Years of relevant experience in solid propellant rocket motor design and development

· Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance (US Citizen)

· Strong technical background in propulsion system design, development, analysis and test

· Experience with ANSI standards including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing

· Experience with CAD modeling principles and practices and drawing generation

· Excellent communication and presentation skills

· Ability to travel to support internal and external stakeholders (approximately 20%)

· Experience with new business pursuit and capture
