Michaels Manager - Pricing Advisory in United States

Support Center - Irving

Under the supervision of the Pricing Director, the Manager - Pricing Advisory will drive the analysis and execution of Pricing and Promotions strategy and tactics. This individual will be responsible for creating and recommending optimal product pricing to achieve and exceed sales goals.

Exceptionally strong analytical skills needed. Proven leadership and collaboration skills are required to create strong cross functional relationships with Merchants, Marketing, Operations and Inventory.

Major Activities

  • Regular Price Strategy and Analysis: Partner with Merchants to understand product characteristics. Perform detailed analysis to optimize regular prices for merchandising categories. Track and measure incremental sales and margin.

  • Promotion Pricing Analysis: Work with various data sources to identify strategic and tactical insights and subsequently optimize the promotions. Work with Merchants and Marketing to analyze results and recommend items and promotional prices for future ads.

  • Clearance Price Strategy and Analysis: Work closely with Pricing Director, Inventory Management and Merchants to develop clearance cadence strategies. Optimize store specific markdown for basic and seasonal products.

  • Pricing projects as identified by supervisor

Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Special Certifications or Technical Skills

  • Advanced MS Excel required

Minimum Type of Experience the Job Requires

  • 7+ of relevant work experience

Other

  • Strong communication and presentation skills required. Ability to develop strong relationships with key partners

  • Strong skills in selling point of view and persuading other functions to support your program
