What You Will Do

Job Summary: Under limited supervision, responsible for directing People & Culture (P&C) strategy, planning and implementation of company programs, policies, and activities in partnership with business leaders (within designated business area) and P&C staff, including organization design, talent development, and engagement.

WHAT YOU WILL DO Duties and Responsibilities: (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary by the Company)

Human Resources:  • Work with key stakeholders and internal Centers of Expertise (COE) partners to develop and implement function-specific initiatives that are consistent with the overall People Strategies.  • Play a key role in successful enterprise initiatives to drive overall unit effectiveness and transformative change.  • Implement programs and processes with a special emphasis on creating a performance-based culture and driving functional initiatives within designated business area.  • Act as a strategic consultant to senior level leadership within the organization to develop, deploy, and maintain people strategies across the enterprise.  • Collaborate with COEs and Leadership to provide business support to achieve goals.  • Acquire a thorough understanding of business goals and recommend new approaches, policies, and processes.  • Work directly with leadership to identify opportunities in the People strategy and develop creative solutions.  • Work with leadership teams to create a leader-led, enabled culture of engagement and inclusion practices.  • Act as change agent for senior leadership in the development of solutions through organizational development and cultural and process-oriented perspectives.

Employee Relations:  • Oversee escalated discipline for all salaried employees by identifying Human Resources issues, investigating complaints and concerns, evaluating, and directing possible courses of action, maintaining confidence and protecting reputations, and documenting information as appropriate.  • Ensure the Company's compliance with federal and state regulations by enforcing adherence to requirements, investigating, and resolving harassment and discrimination complaints by salaried and hourly employees, and providing resolution to EEOC, DOL, and other government charges.  • Represent the Company at depositions and hearings by preparing strategies, consulting with legal counsel, collecting and presenting applicable information, maintaining open communication channels with management and executive staff, and enforcing adherence to legal determinations.  • Direct records retention program, human resource management and facilities management for corporate headquarters by originating and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.  • Review legislation and consults with legal staff and outside counsel to determine the impact on the Company policy and practices. • Performance other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, or other relevant discipline and 7+ year’ related work experience; OR • Associate degree in business administration, Human Resources, or other relevant discipline and 9+ years’ related work experience; OR • High School Diploma or equivalent and 11+ years’ related work experience in lieu of degree • Must be 21 years of age or older.

Knowledge of: • Principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems. • Business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams

Preferred Qualifications: Education and Experience: • Master’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, or other relevant discipline and 7+ year’ related work experience • Experience using human resources information systems (e.g., SAP HCM and/or Workday) • Recognized Human Resources certification (e.g., Professional in Human Resources (PHR or SPHR), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP)

Work Environment and Physical Demand

• Requires light physical effort. Occasionally lifts or moves light weight objects (less than 10 lbs.) • Ability to reach and grasp objects and skilled hand eye coordination • Walks, sits, or stands for prolonged periods • Use of manual dexterity and fine motor skills • Requires prolonged machine operation including computer and keyboard equipment • Identify and distinguish color and shades of color • Experience exposure to uncomfortable work environment due to extreme temperature, noise level, and other conditions including second-hand smoke and/or vape
