Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Intelligent Systems Engineering Subject Matter Expert to join our team remotely.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • ManTech is seeking a Systems Engineer with experience in transforming organizations in the Defense, Intel and Federal Civilian to adopt Digital Engineering practices to join our energized Growth and Capabilities team supporting an exciting variety of corporate initiatives to advance our Intelligent Systems Engineering capabilities and solutions.

  • In this position, you will exercise both thought leadership and applied research by leveraging your extensive systems engineering and digital engineering experiences to transform ManTech and solution offering to best support our Customers and their mission. You will use your knowledge in systems engineering processes, model-based methods, digital engineering tools, and program roles to develop, implement, and deploy Intelligent Systems Engineering capabilities and solutions. You will apply and continuously improve our systems engineering modernization effort by capturing stakeholder and capability requirements, facilitate discussion and understanding of intelligent digital solutions, and enhance the systems engineering culture. You will engage with other systems engineers directly supporting programs and foster broader understanding of modeling and assist them in developing digital work products.

  • A successful candidate will bring a record of applying systems engineering and digital engineering methods and creative thought-leadership to mature and develop intelligent system engineering capabilities and solutions. The capabilities and solutions will consist of processes, methods, tools, and people. You are expected to engage with the larger system engineering community (Industry, Government, and Academia) to stay up with latest innovations and emerging technologies, approaches, methods, and techniques. As part of the Intelligent Systems Engineering Technical Focus Area team you will be expected to provide subject matter expertise to our sales teams, and programs as well as mentor practitioners across the organization and take on a leading role in our Intelligent Systems Engineering Community of Practice.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Bachelors degree and 12 years of experience. Will consider additional years of experience in lieu of education.

  • Advanced experience using enterprise modeling tools to model complex systems using SysML, UPDM, BPMN, and/or UAF

  • Exposure to multidisciplinary analysis and optimization tools (Model Center, Simulia, etc.)

  • Broad systems engineering experience (e.g. system architecture and design, systems documentation, system requirements, CONOPS, systems verification)

  • Proven ability to work effectively and collaborate in a dynamic, fast paced, team oriented environment

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to independently execute work tasks in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment

  • Strong written, communication, and presentation skills

  • Experience supporting US Federal Government agencies and processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of DODI 5000.02 and JCIDS process

  • Practical experience with IEEE 15288

  • INCOSE Certification (CSEP or ESEP) dependent on experience

  • OMG Certified System Modeling Professional (OSCMP) Fundamentals or above

  • Experience leading SE teams through all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle using Digital Engineering methods

  • Experience or familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework Environment (SAFe)

  • Experience or familiarity with administration of Model Based Engineering tools

  • Broad Model Based Engineering Applications and Technology background (i.e. tools, ontologies, OSLC, internet of things, cyber security, etc.)

  • Experience or familiarity with various analytical and decisions aid tools (e.g. MatLab, STK, etc.)

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time

  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

The projected compensation range for this position is $166,700-$286,400. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.
