Information Security Engineer

Conduent is seeking an Information Security engineer to assist with hardening our data protection principles through Microsoft Purview.

A highly qualified candidate would have at least 3 years around the following concepts, skills and responsibilities:

  • Configuration and Maintenance : Develop information protection strategies and redevelop DLP policies based on data governance and information protection. Work across multiple teams to define sensitive information types, data labeling and best practices around data governance and DLP.

  • Data Governance : Contribute to the development of data governance policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring compliance and data integrity.

  • Data Management : Gather, organize, and document data labeling standards and apply them to information protection.

  • Understanding of Data Loss Prevention Concepts :

  • Microsoft Purview Knowledge :

  • Policy Management :

  • Adaptive Protection :

  • Integration with Microsoft Purview Information Protection :

  • Data Governance and Compliance :

  • Familiarize yourself with the fundamental concepts of data loss prevention. Understand how sensitive data is identified, monitored, and protected within an organization.

  • 2-5 years proficiency in using Microsoft Purview . EX: How it integrates with other Microsoft services such as Office 365, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.

  • Create, manage, and enforce data loss prevention policies within the Microsoft Purview compliance portal . Know policy configuration, exceptions, and policy templates.

  • Explore Adaptive Protection features in Microsoft Purview. Optimize data protection automatically based on contextual factors and risk assessment.

  • Understand how DLP integrates with information protection solutions. This includes unified alerting, remediation, and consistent policy enforcement across various workloads.

  • Learn about data governance best practices. Understand how Purview DLP contributes to compliance management, risk reduction, and regulatory impacts/

Basic qualifications for consideration:

  • Minimum three years’ experience security information within the M365 space.

  • Hold at least one of the following:

  • MS-500 Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate

  • AZ-500 Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate

  • SC-400 Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator Associate

  • A solid understanding of risk-based decision making and risk management frameworks.

  • Experience driving an enterprise security program's evolution to meet new requirements.

  • Ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical colleagues.

Pay Transparency Laws in some locations require disclosure of compensation-related information. For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation or sick time. The estimated salary range for this role is $101,063 - $131,000.
