HashiCorp Engineer II - Backend - HCP Cloud Visibility in United States
Our Team:
Cloud Visibility has a mission to provide observability data to customers of the HashiCorp Cloud Platform. As a member of this team, you will be directly contributing to HashiCorp Cloud Platform (HCP), a self-service, fully managed platform offering HashiCorp products as managed services.
In this role, you can expect to:
Work on observability functionality in a large-scale cloud platform that provides visibility into the resources our customers run on HCP.
Design systems for collecting and processing data from HCP services.
Collaborate with engineers from other HashiCorp teams to provide guidance on best practices for using observability tooling and to continuously improve these.
Own the full lifecycle of platform and audit event ingestion and streaming including implementation, testing, release, and maintenance.
Program mostly in Golang and work with technologies like Prometheus, Grafana, Kafka, Kinesis and more.
You may be a good fit for our team if:
You have several years of professional software development experience in cloud environments. While we strive to hire at a variety of experience levels, this particular opening is not well-suited for recent graduates.
You are familiar with microservice architectures and ideally have seen them in operation at a global scale.
You have prior experience working on and with observability tools.
You are able to knowledgeably discuss performance, security, and user interactions in complex systems.
You have experience operating and troubleshooting distributed systems in the cloud.'

Individual pay within the range will be determined based on job related-factors such as skills, experience, and education or training.
The base pay range for this role in the SF Bay Area / NYC area is:
$151,300—$178,000 USD
The base pay range for this role in Seattle Metro, Denver / Boulder Metro, New York (excluding NYC), Washington D.C., or California (excluding SF Bay Area) is:
$138,600—$163,100 USD
The base pay range for this role in Colorado (excluding Denver / Boulder Metro) and Washington (excluding Seattle Metro) is:
$126,100—$148,300 USD
