Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities:

POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking an electrical engineering student for a summer 2025 internship in the Generation Electrical Department. Under the guidance of multiple experienced engineers, the successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of power generation design. The successful candidate will learn how to perform engineering assignments by applying appropriate engineering principles, practices, and theories. Openings are available for the Boise, ID; Overland Park (Kansas City), KS; and Oradell, NJ offices.

In addition to working under the guidance of experienced team members, the selected intern will also participate in sessions designed to develop your skills and provide networking opportunities. Those sessions include:

  • Professional Development sessions focused on resume writing, interview tips, building a LinkedIn profile, and more.

  • Early Talent Speaker Series where leaders speak to interns about their role, company vision, career path, offer career advice, and a Q&A session.

  • Fun Friday activities where interns company-wide join to network and have some fun while doing it.

Required Education/Experience

  • Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited university

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship.

Desired Education/Experience

  • Minimum of a 3.0 GPA

  • Candidate is interested in the consulting engineering industry.

  • Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills will be critical for the successful completion of tasks.

  • Familiarity with design, drafting or engineering software such as AUTOCAD, etc. as well as Microsoft Excel is beneficial.

  • Prior internship and/or related engineering experience is a plus.

  • EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certificate is a plus.
