Shine Early Learning (Shine), established in 2009, was created to scale the dissemination and utilization of Acelero Learning’s proven tools and approaches through partnerships to other Head Start programs nationally. In the past three years, Shine has further diversified its offerings through training, technical assistance, and consultation to publicly funded early childhood systems, including the launch of SPARK Learning Labs.

The Purpose of the Role

The Director of Performance, Implementation & Impact Services at Shine Early Learning is responsible for leading and coordinating the implementation of high-quality early childhood education, family engagement, and management systems across partner programs. This role involves strategic planning, data analysis, and the facilitation of training and evaluation to ensure partners meet educational and operational goals. By fostering collaborative relationships and utilizing data-driven insights, the Director supports continuous improvement and impactful outcomes for children and families, aligning with the organization's mission to bridge educational gaps and honor the diverse aspirations of the communities served.

What You’ll Work On

  • Facilitates partner strategic planning sessions by preparing and using data to both develop goals and to also assess goal attainment.

  • Works with Partner senior leaders to identify shifts in organization design to best support quality implementation of Shine tools, strategies, and early childhood education, family & community engagement, and PII approaches, in collaboration with the Senior Directors of Partnership Management (SDPM), Early Childhood Education(ECE) Leads and Family & Community Engagement (FCE) Leads.

  • Coaches and guides partner leads on a suite of “Manage By” Data Dashboards.

  • Supports the creation, analysis and facilitation of self-assessment and strategy workshops (such as ShineStat or Bi-Annual Planning) in collaboration with PII and SDPM roles .

  • Assists in the development, planning, execution and analysis of a comprehensive self assessment system (i.e. Self-Assessment System for Continuous Improvement and Evaluation (SASCIE)) for Shine partners.

  • Supports partners with other projects related to data analysis, compliance monitoring, program evaluation, record-keeping and reporting, planning, communication, and project management.

  • Assists in the implementation and effective utilization of Shine Insight, a child and family database, including the potential support of initial training and certification, ongoing support, and periodic professional development (For partner programs using Shine Insight).

About You (Requirements/competencies)

  • Bachelor's Degree required/Master’s Degree preferred

  • A minimum of three years previous Head Start experience, preferably in a leadership role.

  • Experience leading a team of direct reports; remote management experience preferred

  • Education industry or other Pre-K experience is a plus

  • Large and small group facilitation/training experience

  • Experience with Head Start child database management systems is a plus.

  • Start Date: Anticipated Summer/Fall 2024

  • Location/Travel: Remote. Travel required locally or long-distance up to 50% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.

  • Salary: $82,000 - $92,000
