About the role
The Maintenance Supervisor is part of the Process Sector team. He/she is responsible for the mechanical maintenance and repair of mobile surface vehicles and surface buildings. The team includes site machinery mechanics, light mechanics, machinists and building mechanics. This person is responsible for applying the maintenance-reliability program. The maintenance supervisor adheres to the company's principles by adopting a management approach geared towards sustainable development, an operation for excellence and the organization's code of conduct.
Essential Duties
Plan and organize the mechanical maintenance activities of his work team by following the schedule
Solve problems related to mechanical activities and recommend measures to improve the productivity and availability of his department
See to the smooth running of all activities and the respect of work procedures
Establish new work procedures to standardize work
Participate in the health and safety activities of the process department
Prepare and lead health and safety meetings
Plan, prepare and follow up on health and safety activities such as inspections, risk analysis and incident/accident reports
Supervise personnel, evaluate performance and ensure employee development
Train workers on their tasks, safety standards and company policies
Participate in the planning of maintenance and repairs in collaboration with the planning group
Maintain information records and write reports based on performance indicators
Participate in the development of the mechanical maintenance budget and ensure cost control
Respect, know and promote the company's regulations and policies, particularly in matters of health and safety
All tasks related to the performance of his/her duties
Training & Experience
College diploma or professional degree in mechanics
5 to 10 years of relevant experience with a minimum of 5 years in supervision
Experience in a concentrator is considered a major asset
Valid driver's license
Basic knowledge of computers
Bilingualism French/English (an asset)

Working Conditions
Schedule: 14 days of work followed by 14 days of rest
