Do you like to solve problems and think creatively? As a Building Access Technician III, Responsible for ensuring schedules are maintained and work proceeds in accordance with requirements and customer expectations. Provides guidance, implements, and oversees department activities, and provides advice and supervision to Building Access staff. Supervises technicians installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting. Who we are

FES-Building Access manage all aspects of building access, including the creation, control, and issuance of keys. Our services also cover keying and rekeying for interior doors, office furniture, cabinets, and more. Additionally, we install new locks, cores, keyless entry systems, and digital access hardware. Our keyless card access solutions use contactless technology and other methods to open doors and grant access to secure areas. We also install security cameras to monitor and ensure the safety of the premises.

What You Need To Know

Salary is commensurate with experience with a starting pay of $21.59 per hour.

This position is located in College Station, TX. Remote/Work from alternate location is not available at this time.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 6 years of related experience as a locksmith, carpenter, or electrician.

  • Experience and trained in online and stand-alone card access systems.

  • Experience and trained in online and stand-alone video surveillance systems, camera installation/maintenance experience.

  • Experience with CMMS technology.

Required Licenses and Certifications

  • Certified to bore fire rated doors.

  • Valid Class C Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to work with a wide variety of camera hardware and systems, demonstrating adaptability and technical expertise.

  • Previous experience in supervising a team in a similar operation, with strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Experience working in a higher education setting is preferred, with an understanding of the unique demands and environment in this field.

  • Experience with Assetworks Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) technology for tracking and managing hardware.

  • Demonstrated experience in the procurement of camera hardware and related equipment, including card readers, with a focus on budgeting and vendor management.Experience working with master keying systems

    Opportunities to contribute:

We need your ability to assist with installation of university card access systems in university structures. Wires and installs control modules, card readers, door hardware, and all other components of the system. Maintains the university card access system by troubleshooting wiring problems or lock malfunctions. Includes use of a volt/ohm meter, and other tools to troubleshoot. You will provide excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills in every aspect of your job.
