Introduction

This position is with the Java Management Service team at Oracle, Singapore.

Java Management Service (https://docs.public.oneportal.content.oci.oraclecloud.com/en-us/iaas/jms/doc/java-management-service.html) is an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Java Management Service (JMS) is a comprehensive solution for managing Java deployments across your entire enterprise, on-premises, in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and on third-party clouds. JMS offers two key capabilities: Fleet Management and Java Download. Fleet Management provides insights into your Java usage and inventory. Java Download simplifies keeping your Java environments up-to-date and secure by providing easy access to the latest Java releases.

Job Description

Interns can expect to be exposed to the delivery of an enterprise class service using a variety cloud native technology. They are to work closely in a global team with various team members from diverse backgrounds and geographies. Students will experience the agile development process and be involved with POCs, process automation projects and creating sample codes and providing various literature for Oracle Sales team and customers.

Students will have the opportunity to:

• Tooling – Develop automated tools aimed at removing SRE & SQE toils

• Scope out and develop proof of concepts for JMS leveraging OCI services or other technologies

• Develop examples on how to use JMS using different applications to help in writing blogs, whitepapers on JMS

• Creating and updating JMS public documentation and tutorials

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Knowledge on Java, Python, JavaScript, Git

• Knowledge on SDLC, CI/CD and Agile Scrum methodology

• UX patterns and design for Oracle Cloud

• Comfortable with working with CLI/Unix based environment commonly used in cloud development
