Responsibilities

Customer and Industry Insights

• Synthesizes and combines various business and industry insights from their team, global best practices, experience/case studies, and deep industry knowledge.

• Anticipates growth opportunities and drives recommendations for account strategy.

• Collaborates globally to identify risks and bring insights for customer solutions.

Trusted Advisor

• Provides strategic account guidance, technical direction, and DevSecOps leadership

• Aligns GitHub technologies with customer business goals

• Builds feedback loops with engineering teams and guides stakeholders across IT and business.

Technology Strategy Formulation

• Leads strategic visioning and roadmapping for complex accounts.

• Advises on long-term adoption of technologies, addressing pain points via GitHub solutions.

Customer Enablement

• Crafts enablement plans for large-scale customers.

• Drives skilling initiatives and product integration guidance.

• Demonstrates GitHub extensibility and value proposition.

Marketing

• Develops and presents marketing content.

• Represents GitHub at events and acts as customer liaison.

Sales Partnership

• Leads technical discovery and solution proposals.

• Supports proofs-of-concept and product demonstrations.

Specialty Responsibilities

• Pre- and post-sales technical alignment for large customers.

• Acts as a GHAS (GitHub Advanced Security) SME.

• Advises on secure development with CodeQL and developer-first security programs.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in technical consulting or related technical experience

• OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years

• OR Master's Degree AND 6+ years experience

• OR Doctorate AND 4+ years experience

• OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

• 11+ years experience in technical consulting or related technical experience

• OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,Engineering, or related field AND 9+ years experience

• OR Master's Degree AND 7+ years experience

• OR Doctorate AND 5+ years experience

• 5+ years in digital transformation, business consulting, and customer-facing roles

• 5+ years leading technical/support/partner teams

• 8+ years practical experience in Enterprise Software Development

• 6+ years practical experience in Application Security
