Job Summary

The Commercial Operations Analyst is responsible for performing basic financial/sales analysis, modelling, forecasting and reporting to identify trends, benchmarking and to increase sales performance and productivity. The role is office based in Mumbai, India and reports to the Associate Director Commercial Operations in Canada. The Commercial Operations Analyst will support the development of reporting capabilities and analytics while continuously helping to streamline processes for efficiencies.

Areas Of Responsibility

The successful candidate must have a passion for reporting, data, analytics and collaborating with teams that delivers exceptional results. This individual will be focused on creating reports for all businesses and pushing them out on a regular basis with insights. Work will be required on projects, ad-hoc and brand-related administrative tasks in addition to CRM, brand planning support and analysis.

  • Provides routine and ad hoc analyses/reporting to keep key internal stakeholders abreast of market trends and relevant insights to drive data driven decision-making.

  • Collaborates with assigned brand teams on an ongoing basis to contribute relevant insights that will drive strategic action aligned to brand objectives.

  • Supports continuous improvement initiatives through the identification of innovative ways to optimize the processes for efficiencies.

  • Ensures optimal governance and compliance in accordance with all applicable laws/regulations and aligned to Sun Pharmas policies.

  • Proactively make recommendations based on data and analysis

  • Create operational metrics and reporting daily, weekly, monthly with insights

Educational Qualification

B. Com, B.A. or B.S. in finance, economics, or business is required

Specific Certification

Experience

2+ years of pharma experience

Skill (Functional & Behavioural):

  • Excellent organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and ability to meet deadlines

  • CRM and Primary/Secondary data experience and analytical tools experience

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Demonstrated experience and track record of success in managing and creating reports, analytics and insights.

  • Continuous learner mindset

  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and strong work ethic

  • Proven strong written and verbal communication, organization and collaborative skills

  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic and often ambiguous context

  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in teams
