AON Risk Analyst in Virtual, Illinois

Risk Analyst

Aon is seeking a dedicated and highly analytical Risk Management Analyst to join our organization! The Risk Management Analyst will directly support our client, Hyatt, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and our insurance brokerage partners to protect our employees, guests, and properties through the placement of insurance programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with the insurance renewal process, managing our annual Risk Management Survey to gather all hotel risk exposures, and working to maintain and update our various risk management information systems.

This role will be a hybrid role with the expectation of being in the Chicago office 2-3 days/week.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Insurance Renewal Support: Assist the Senior Analyst with gathering and reviewing all exposure data for inclusion in insurance submissions. Keep the renewal tracking document up to date and alert team members of due dates. Work with brokers to answer any questions on the data. After the renewal is complete, update the risk management shared drive with the notices to bind coverage, insurance binders and insurance policies.

  • Certificates of Insurance: Responsible for support, coordination and administration of Certificates of Insurance documentation including collection, distribution and management summary and reporting for hotels globally. Responsible for responding to hotels request for new or additional certificates.

  • Onboarding hotels: Assist Senior Analyst with the Open, Change, and Close process by sending out notifications and following up locations on actual open/close dates. Assist with monthly reconciliation to ensure all active Hyatt hotels are in the Risk Portal. Keep brokers informed of changes.

  • Scheduling: Act as primary scheduler for all risk meetings, including but not limited to, underwriting meetings, internal team meetings, RIMS events, AHLA risk committee meetings, and captive insurance board meetings. Work with broker and team members to plan travel and ensure all appropriate invitees are include on meeting notices.

  • Risk Information Systems: Responsible for Risk Management Information System support, coordination and administration including user access requests, uploading information and input and verification of system information. Update our risk information systems to include the exposure data and the results (premium costs, limits, deductibles, etc.) of the insurance renewals.

  • Risk Management Survey: Assist the Senior Analyst with managing the process for collecting accurate property exposure data from the hotels.

  • Hotel Requests: Work with senior analyst to answer hotels’ questions about insurance coverage, pricing, invoices, and insurance documentation. Provide training to hotels on the self-service features of the Risk Portal.

  • NDA Management: Work with Legal and Hyatt’s Cyber broker to update and maintain the NDA’s for the insurance carriers working bidding on Hyatt’s cyber insurance coverage.

    Experience Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in risk management, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, using tools such as Excel and Risk Management Information Systems.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and influence stakeholders at various levels.

    Pay Transparency Laws:

    The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $75,000 to $85,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

    The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Chicago, IL. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.

    This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
