IHG Sales Director in France
Your daily responsibilities:
People
Manage daily activities, plan and allocate work ensuring adequate staffing levels
Develop your team and enhance their performance through coaching and feedback, setting performance and development goals for colleagues, and recognizing good performance
Train colleagues to ensure they deliver services that meet our expected standards and have the necessary tools for effective work
Recommend or initiate any HR-related actions if necessary
Create an excellent work environment for teams to thrive - foster teamwork.
Finance
Achieve all personal/team sales goals and maximize profitability
Achieve budgeted revenues and personal/team sales goals, and maximize profitability. Participate in the preparation of the department's annual operating budget, marketing plan, and hotel business plan, as well as financial plans
Assist in preparing the department budget and financial plans, including the hotel's marketing plan
Create and implement sales plans that promote measurable occupancy growth, increase average rates, volume, restaurant sales, and banquet sales
Produce monthly sales reports and forecasts to analyze current and potential market and sales trends, coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share, and monitor performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue plan
Customer Experience
Assist guests - help if anyone needs assistance with a request or complaint
Provide information to guests (e.g., loyalty programs, area attractions, restaurants, facility information) to enhance guest experience
Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and external contacts to develop group and/or convention business, including selling meeting rooms, restaurant sales, and banquet service
Organize conventions and/or business group activities at the hotel and coordinate with other hotel departments to facilitate services sold by the sales office and potential clients
Responsible Business
Increase the awareness and reputation of your hotel and brand locally
Identify improvements to marketing activities and overall hotel sales performance and work with other departments
Responsibilities
- This is the lead sales position in a luxury hotel with meeting spaces and/or catering facilities. It may involve managing a team of professional and administrative sales staff.
PROFILE SOUGHT
High school diploma/equivalent and then 4 years of sales service experience, including team supervision experience.
Fluent English required
