Responsibilities

• Assists in performing a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair, of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy.

• Installs or repairs any of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment.

• Working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications, locates and diagnoses trouble in the electrical system or equipment.

• Works standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.

• Performs other duties and assignments as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications

• Education/Experience: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

• Must either have a trade school diploma from their country of record or hold 3 years’ experience as a practicing journeyman electrician and some relevant work experience leading teams.

• Must be able to effectively communicate in English.

• Must be able to work under pressure, individually or in a team and be service oriented.

• Working Environment

• Shift work and/or flexible working hours and/or overtime and/or assigned rest day rotation may be required. Subject environmental conditions activities can occur both inside and outside.

• Physical Activities

• Physically capable of working in hot or warm weather all year long, with little change in seasons.

• Works in conditions, including but not limited to, elevated platforms including but not limited to 120ft, Electrical PPE such as ARC flash suits and rubber protective gear ladders, hand and power tools and test equipment
