Description We are seeking a skilled individual to fill the role of an Accounts Payable Clerk in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity within the telecom industry. The main responsibility for this role is to manage invoice processing, including coding and reconciling, from the manufacturer.

Responsibilities:

• Process invoices from the manufacturer in a timely and accurate manner

• Code invoices correctly and reconcile them to ensure accuracy

• Utilize MS Excel to manage and track invoice processing

• Collaborate with other team members to expedite the accounts payable process

• Use your accounts payable knowledge to solve any issues that may arise

• Maintain a high level of organization to manage multiple invoices simultaneously

• Communicate effectively with manufacturers and other external entities when necessary

• Ensure all invoices are processed in accordance with company policy and procedures

• Provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role.

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and practices.

• Familiarity with accounting software and systems.

• Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.

• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field preferred.
