Position Description

As an AutoCAD Designer/Drafter, you will be supporting the Facilities and Space Planning team. Bring your expertise and grow with a company supporting local, state, and federal governments.
You will be part of member team that works closely with the customer and other Serco teams to deliver quality systems. The team has been recognized by the customers for their outstanding contributions to several contracts and programs .
In this role, you will:
Prepares drawings based on redlines, site check notes and photos.
Be Responsible for the adjusting existing floor plans to meet survey data.
Perform self-check on drawings.
Develop a range of drawing related products.
Complete Site Surveys, CONUS/OCONUS.
Incorporate reviewer comments into drawings.
Familiar with architectural floor plans.
Drawing accurate furniture layouts on floor plans.
Perform a variety of tasks as needed.
Adhere to Quality Assurance process and/or procedures.
Typically report to a supervisor or manager.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Current DoD Secret Clearance.
US Citizenship
Ability to obtain all required certifications within the timeframe specified in a waiver by the government (if applicable) and maintain required certifications through the duration of the contract. Employment is contingent until you obtain all required certifications. Failure to obtain/maintain required certifications will result in disqualification for this position and could result in termination.
High School Diploma/GED
Completed AutoCAD professional training with certificate.
Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of engineering.
Ability to obtain and maintain Common Access Card (CAC).
Ability to obtain a US Passport.
Ability to learn commercial and/or DoD drawings, drafting standards, BOMA standards.
Physical ability to complete site surveys.
Ability to lift 20-50 lbs.
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within drafting.
Ability to work hybrid (in office to start) and up to 50% travel.
Ability to work any shift/designated hours required and ability to work overtime as required and travel as needed and regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is mandatory.
Reliable transportation to work sites in Virginia Beach, VA.
Ability to continue performance during inclement weather or other conditions when others are not permitted to work.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to work effectively with a variety of government, military, and contractor personnel at all levels.
Ability to wear PPE and move around on construction sites from time to time.
Ability to wear proper work attire that will not pose a safety hazard to employees working in the same general area.
