Cardinal Health Regulatory Operations Specialist in Vipond, Canada

Cardinal Health Canada, with over 1300 employees nationwide, is an essential link in the Canadian healthcare supply chain, providing over 70,000 products to healthcare facilities and medical professionals across the country.

Cardinal Health is looking for a Regulatory Operations Specialist to join our team on a 7-month contract with a hybrid model in Mississauga. This position will be responsible for providing regulatory administrative support for item and supplier set up, customer licensing and maintenance activities.

Your Contributions to the Organization will be:

  • Review and approval of new product introductions to determine compliance with licensing requirements of applicable Regulations (medical devices, drugs, NHPs, cosmetics).

  • Classify medical devices, as per Health Canada’s Medical Devices Regulations, risk-based classification system

  • Work collaboratively with Marketing and Data management, as well as various suppliers in setting up new products in MDG system

  • Addressing and responding to regulatory queries from customers and suppliers

  • Managing new supplier set up and supplier maintenance activities

  • Managing customer licensing process using JDE system and work closely with customer care team if needs to get required information from customers to upgrade them in our system to be able to purchase various drugs from us

  • Reviewing, troubleshooting and releasing orders that went on hold and upgrading customer license status when applicable

  • Assist with other regulatory tasks as required such as help with MDEL and DEL renewal

This Job might be for you if:

  • 0-2 years of experience, preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, or equivalent work experience, preferred

  • Certification for Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance program, an asset

  • Some understanding of Health Canada with products classification as an asset
