Job Summary: The Imaging Supervisor at Vinita coordinates and manages the daily operation of the department for the purpose of ensuring effective, efficient, and appropriate delivery of patient care. Monitors departmental activities, policies and accreditation standards to ensure compliance.

Minimum Education: Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technology Program.

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: Registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Work Experience: 3 years related progressive experience in a hospital setting with at least 1 year of related supervisory experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Direct Supervision of others. Prepares and gives performance evaluations. Works directly with patients and/or customers. Works with internal customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with external customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff. Works frequently with individuals at Director level or above.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Supervises daily operations of assigned modalities or departments. Oversees the human resources, quality control maintenance and all clinical activities of assigned areas. Supervises staff using effective communication and problem-solving skills. Manages staff training/orientation and development and coordinates staff meetings. Assures services and staff are in compliance with hospital and professional standards, state and federal regulatory requirements. Monitors quality and accuracy of work performed by staff. Assists with operations in areas of customer service, planning, safety, and polices and procedures.
