Position Summary:
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must beable to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors. Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately. Identifies and corrects for artifacts. Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Tests equipment for proper working order. Reports equipment problems to supervisor. Performs nurse assistant duties and responsibilities, under the direction of registered nurse.
Minimum Qualifications:
Certifications (obtain within 6 months)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Nurse Assistant certification
