Tissue Processing Technician

Job Description

The Tissue Processing Technician will perform debridement, processing, packaging, and labeling of human tissue products for surgical transplantation while ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and AATB regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform processing, debridement, packaging, labeling, and shipment of finished products.

• Utilize special techniques, instrumentation, and equipment to clean and size tissue to specifications and protocols.

• Assist Team Lead with efforts in maintaining inventory levels on the core and dock for receiving supplies.

• Perform lab cleaning activities as required by policies, protocols, procedures, and SOPs.

• Work with Quality and Regulatory staff to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and AATB regulations and requirements, particularly those pertaining to manufacturing.

• Correctly complete production documentation as required in Nerve processing in accordance with standard operating procedures, and quality standards.

• Assist with production records as needed.

• Perform other duties as directed by the Supervisor.

• Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Essential Skills

• Must have a High School Diploma.

• Prefer Associates Degree in science but not required.

• Prior medical/healthcare experience is a plus.

• Prior Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience is a plus.

• Experience working in a regulated environment is a significant advantage.

• Desire to be in the position long-term.

• Must be comfortable sitting and standing for long periods of time.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with debridement, human tissue, and skin processing.

• Familiarity with using medical instruments such as scalpels and forceps.

• Knowledge of biology, human tissue, and cell processing.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
