HP Inc. Windows Software Development Lead in Vancouver, Washington

It is an exciting time to join the newly formed Consumer Services and Solutions (CSS) organization at HP. This position requires a solid understanding of the subject matter to effectively address and resolve various business-related concerns. The role involves working on problems of moderate complexity, requiring the incumbent to display a blend of analytical and problem-solving skills. As a knowledgeable team member, you will be expected to provide valuable insights and contribute to project direction on a limited basis.

The successful candidate will be able to exercise self directed work to make informed resolution

within the boundaries of established practices and procedures. You will adhere to and interpret company guidelines and policies, while also being able to evaluate unique scenarios and provide strategic recommendations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop limited enhancements, updates, and programming alterations for sections and subsystems of end-user applications software across local, networked, and internet-based platforms.

  • Review UI designs to determine necessary coding, programming, and integration activities, in accordance with specific objectives and established project guidelines.

  • Execute and contribute to the writing of testing plans, protocols, and documentation for the assigned portion of the application. Identify, debug, and propose improvements or changes to code issues

  • Contribute as a team member alongside other software application engineers and internal/outsourced development partners, aiming to develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions for assigned application sections or subsystems.

  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and outsourced development partners about software application design status, project progression, and resolution of issues.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.

  • Typically 5+ years experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Firm grasp of React Native especially on windows platform.

  • Knowledge on JavaScript, Typescript, C#.

  • Ability to write well-documented, clean code

  • Familiarity with redux-saga architecture and writing unit test cases.

  • Additional Skills in C#. Create NuGet packages, working with C# third party libraries, UWP concepts' is a plus.

  • Software applications testing methodology, including execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.

  • Ability to effectively communicate design proposals and negotiate options.

Per the Washington state statute, the estimated range of compensation for this job in that location , at the time of this posting, is $155,000 - $175,000. This position may be eligible for incentive pay, for openings where this is applicable.
