PeaceHealth Warehouse Logistics Specialist in Vancouver, Washington

Description

PeaceHealth is seeking a Warehouse Logistics Specialist for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $27.47 – $41.21. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

Job Summary

Responsible for optimizing and maintaining control of supply and equipment inventory and logistical planning for the hospital and system warehouse(s). Supports distribution of supplies and equipment to and from warehouse location(s) including processing international and domestic freight and logistics.

Essential Functions

  • Completes daily stock inventory reorder reports and validating the recommended reorder quantities to assure accuracy in warehouse settings. Evaluates reorder points and reorder amounts for all stock inventory items. Forecasts inventory tendencies to minimize stock-outs or over stock scenarios. Coordinates backorder / exception reports and confirmations, coordinates delivery timelines and substitutions. Assists with reviewing inventory add requests.

  • Coordinates all product transfers between warehouse location(s) and both acute and ambulatory clinical settings.

  • Creates and expedites all outbound orders for warehouse inventory use and Zoom Manufacturing sale orders. This includes handling creating shipping documents, coordinating with warehouse staff, and organizing delivery method of the product.

  • Creates shipping documents coordinating with warehouse staff and organizing delivery methods for products.

  • Tracks and coordinates all inbound orders into warehouse(s), including working with vendors and importers for delivery appointments, receiving product into ERP system, verifying inventory, and creating item numbers as needed.

  • Orders product per the direction of clinical and operations leadership, including monthly committed programs and stock replenishments

  • Works with warehouse staff to manage lot numbers, expiration dates and inventory accuracy, including the management of all transactions in the ERP software.

  • Pulls vendor recalled items and corresponding lot numbers, documenting the removal of recalled items and coordinating the disposition and/or replacement of recalled items.

  • Evaluates units of measure and conversion factors for stock inventory items and makes corrections as necessary

  • Ensures that warehouse location labels are up to date. Identifies and removes slow movers. Works with distributor to establish supply usage and with purchasing to coordinate supply logistics.

  • Coordinates the month end closing activities for the inventory control system.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training and experience.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years Experience in healthcare supply chain or inventory control using information technology.

  • Experience with an MMIS (Materials Management Information System).

  • Lawson / Infor experience preferred.

  • A basic knowledge of medical products.

Skills

  • Strong computer skills including MS Office applications (including Excel and Outlook), experience with an MMIS. Comfortable with handheld scanner type technology.

  • Good communication skills including verbal and written.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Ability to prioritize, take responsibility and ownership.

  • Self-direction and ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Able to provide leadership to teammates and work with clinical, front-line caregivers as well as management.

  • Detail oriented, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Working Conditions

  • Buyer/Products Coord.: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Consistently operates computer and other office equipment.

  • Central Supply Tech/Inventory Clerk: Ability to move around area. Frequent lifting up to 50lbs. Occasionally manipulating up to 100lbs. with assistance, to transport and stock assigned supplies and materials. Occasional bending, stooping, and climbing, reaching .

  • Predominantly operates in an office or warehouse/supply room environment.

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.

  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
