Description
SUMMARY:
Provides system support for all server environments.
The salary for this role will be between $61k and $89k. The specific salary offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Coordinates hardware and software installation, configuration and maintenance.
Monitors hardware/software performance, analyzes critical errors, and resolves issues to minimize system down time.
Responsible for reliable backup/recovery efforts as it relates to personal computers and network servers.
Performs PC/LAN/WAN and phone administration, including the diagnoses and resolution of
Provides first level help desk by assisting users to resolve computer related problems such as inoperative hardware or software.
Trains users in the proper use of relevant software or hardware.
Communicates to Riverview employees when troubleshooting or maintenance will adversely affect daily work routines.
Keep Supervisor updated on all significant troubleshooting issues, and network maintenance.
Coordinates and assists with work projects such as converting to new hardware or software.
Evaluates workload and capacity of computer systems to determine feasibility of expanding or enhancing computer operations.
Makes recommendations for improvements in computer system.
Evaluates and tests vendor supplied software packages for compatibility with existing system, ease of use, and whether software meets user needs.
Implement and maintain IT security and audit policies, procedures and documentation in accordance with government regulations.
Writes project reports and documentation for new or modified software and hardware.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Participates in and completes training objectives with passing scores.
Independently completes tasks assigned.
Follow all Riverview policies and procedures.
Other duties may be assigned.
RELATIONSHIPS
Daily contact with Supervisor to receive direction and interpretation of existing and new procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent from an accredited four-year college or technical school; and two or more years directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form in a timely manner.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Fortinet, MCSE, MCP, CCNA or other networking certification preferred.
OTHER:
Accurate data input; at least 35 wpm.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to effectively communicate via phone/video, messaging, and email.
