About this Role
Robinson Brothers Construction, LLC. is currently looking for a highly motivated individual to fill our Safety Director position, work will be based out of our corporate office, Vancouver, WA location.

Job Summary:
The Safety Director will develop, coordinate, implement and oversee occupational health policies and procedures to promote and ensure effective safety operations in the organization.
What You'll Do
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Ensures that clerical staff maintain the OSHA safety log and other administrative requirements related to safety operations and regulations. Supervises Safety Team and overall safety and risk management of the entire team at RBC.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
Conducts risk assessments, collecting and analyzing documentation, statistics, reports, and market trends.
Is responsible for RBC Companywide Safety Training and Record Keeping. Will work with Quanta Leadership to ensure all Quanta related training and RBC training is completed in a timely and efficient manner. Will work with trainers to ensure all training logistics are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Will lead and coordinate root cause analysis depending on incident severity and overall risk to the RBC organization and will report findings to RBC and Quanta Management as needed. Will make recommendations as required to mitigate repetitive incidents
Will be intimately involved with and lead all case management activities for injuries and incidents. Will work with RBC and Quanta Management to ensure best possible outcomes for employees and RBC to ensure the health and safety of all parties.
Establishes policies and procedures to identify and address risks in the organizations services and departments.
Reviews and assesses risk management policies and protocols; makes recommendations and implements modifications and improvements.
Recommends and implements risk management solutions such as insurance, safety and security policies, business continuity plans, or recovery measures.
Reviews and analyzes metrics and data such as cash flow, inventory, breakage, and employee activity that could uncover fraudulent behavior.
Drafts and presents risk reports and proposals to executive leadership and senior staff.
Collaborates with management to develop, prepare, and implement safety policies and procedures.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules.
Ensures completion of required OSHA recordkeeping and reporting.
Provides technical and administrative support to the safety committee.
Stops operations and activities that could harm employees or equipment.
Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.
Conducts employee training on applicable safety standards.
Reviews safety training and recommends revisions, improvements, and updates.
Conducts safety inspections and audits to assess employee compliance with safety regulations.
Reviews accident and incident reports.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Competencies Required/Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in health and safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, or related field required.
At least five years of occupational health and safety experience in an industrial environment required.
Degree and/or Certified in Occupational Health and Safety, CSP, CHSP, or equivalent (Preferred) – incorporate into education.
Minimum 3+ years as a Health and Safety Manager, 5+ years as a Health and Safety Specialist (Required) – incorporate into education
Certified/Competent in Root Cause Analysis and/or 5 Why Accident Investigation Techniques (Preferred) – add into education
Familiar/Competent with Behavior Based Safety Principles, JHA/JSA Process, Energy Wheel, Stop Work Authority (Preferred) – add into education
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
Ability to travel throughout facility as required to conduct safety inspections.
Travel Requirements:
Time Spent Traveling 50%

Compensation Range:
The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $115,000/Yr. - USD $135,000/Yr. depending on experience and qualifications.
- Pay is based on the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the employee.
