Research Associate

Pay: $73,000 - $75,000 per year, 10% annual bonus potential, and stock options

Overview

This client is an industry-leading biotech company focused on developing innovative therapies for rare genetic disorders.

In this role you’ll be supporting the Molecular Lab with a team of world-class scientists and researchers. This role will give you an opportunity to work on PCR/qPCR troubleshooting and optimization in a high-throughput (HTP) setting, while helping deliver new therapies to patients and their families.

Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM flexible

Responsibilities:

• Support the Molecular Lab with PCR/qPCR troubleshooting and optimization in a high-throughput (HTP) setting.

• Analyze quality metrics and testing results to evaluate the effectiveness of troubleshooting efforts and optimize laboratory processes.

• Utilize Illumina and other NGS sequencing technologies.

• Design primers for various molecular biology applications.

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all research activities.

Qualifications:

• BS/BA in Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a related field.

• Experience with PCR/qPCR troubleshooting and optimization in a high-throughput (HTP) setting.

• Knowledge of quality metrics and ability to interpret results of testing.

• Experience with Illumina or other NGS sequencing technologies preferred.

• Primer design experience is a plus.

• Must be comfortable with dogs in the office.
