Commercial Optimization Specialist

Location: Remote (North America)

(Ideal Candidate will reside in the US or Canada - Eastern/Central time zones)

The Commercial Optimization Specialist is responsible for managing commercial data as a key expert across technology platforms (e.g. SAP, Excel, Power BI, Pricing Tool) to enable and deliver integrated commercial, financial & operational enterprise analytics, commercial demand management, market intelligence services and budgetary support. Drive data-driven decision making in ANH (Animal Nutrtion & Health) by delivering cross functional analytical and decision support services including advanced reporting, commercial analysis, and data management. Project Management for Commercial Operations supporting the COO organization to execute, monitor and track continuous improvements Projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Manager for commercial operations projects under the COO Organization related overall cost improvements, product replacement and tolling.

  • Business Lead for Pricing Tool regional support and training to end-users for new processes and onboarding. Also supports SAP price related questions and issues.

  • Key hands-on expert all areas of commercial business performance management.

  • Develops & supports the Regional COO in commercial planning including RAF, RQE, MBR, Budget, Forecast, presentations, reports, implementation plans.

  • Provide analytical and data mining support to generate insights that can contribute with costs related to EBITDA as well as benefit business growth opportunities; Key role in in monitoring and tracking the achievement of the allocated Regional sales forecasts/budget in terms of volume, price and OU margin.

  • Responsible for Premixes and Straights Pacing Report and daily Sales monitoring + gap closing as well as track and compile main commercial KPIs.

  • Responsible for SAP support related to quotations, input prices, exception list.

  • Partner with IT architects to translate business needs into systems and data support structures.

  • Establishes & implements commercial operations excellence processes.

  • Supports Powerpoint deck building and driving influence through slides story creation for the business.

  • Translates market and business information into business intelligence.

    You Bring:

  • BS/BA degree in Marketing, Business, Mathematics or Computer Science required or extensive experience with the feed industry.

  • Demonstrated (5+ years) understanding and experience across commercial, financial and operational business areas and functional support systems (SAP, Business Warehouse).

  • Experience designing and delivering advanced executive support services including data integration, report design, dashboarding and data discovery

  • Strong computer skills a must. Knowledge of data management best practices and report design/development: SAP, Business Warehouse, CRM, Excel, Power BI

  • Familiarity with diverse databases, data models and structures.

  • Strong analytical skills are mandatory along with the ability to organize and share insights.

  • Advanced quantitative skill set and financial acumen.

  • Demonstrated expertise and experience and working in a matrix structure.
