Job Opening - Install Technician

Location: Urbandale, Iowa

Schedule: Monday - Friday / 8:00 am - 5:00 pm / Weekly Pay

Job Status: Full-time / Can Start ASAP / Pay Range: $20 - $25 hour / Growth Opportunities

Job Description: Seeking a skilled/adaptable Install Technician to join our team in Urbandale, Iowa. In this role, you will be responsible for the tear-out, retrofit, and installation of electric and gas fireplaces. Working primarily from work orders, you will need to adjust and improvise to address unforeseen issues such as uneven fireplace installation, gaps, and troubleshooting. This position requires collaboration with a partner technician, handling gas lines, and utilizing existing electrical outlets for installations.

Responsibilities:

• Tear out, retrofit, and install electric and gas fireplaces according to work orders.

• Address and resolve issues such as fireplaces not being squared, gaps between the top and bottom, and other installation challenges.

• Perform gas hook-ups and electrical connections for fireplace installations.

• Work in pairs to ensure efficient and accurate installation of fireplaces.

• Handle gas lines and connect to existing electrical outlets as needed.

• Use ladders to access chimneys and complete installations safely.

Work Site:

• Fully on-site position in Urbandale, Iowa.

Work Environment:

• Work attire includes jeans, comfortable closed-toed shoes, and a professional work shirt.

• Travel to customer sites in a company box van/truck.

• Work in teams of two; may require using ladders to access chimneys.

• The first 30-45 days will involve working and training with an experienced technician to ensure a smooth transition into the role - after the training period will work independently.
